Brazil: Pantanal & Porto Jofre Birding Tour

Embark on an unforgettable wildlife and birding adventure in Brazil’s Pantanal, one of the greatest wildlife destinations on Earth. Known for its incredible concentrations of birds and unmatched ease of wildlife viewing, the Pantanal offers some of the most exciting birding in South America.

Our journey focuses on the famous Transpantaneira Road, Porto Jofre, and the northern Pantanal region, where wetlands, marshes, open grasslands, gallery forest, and river systems create a spectacular mosaic of habitats.

Along the Transpantaneira, we’ll experience classic roadside birding at its finest, with species such as Jabiru, Hyacinth Macaw, Toco Toucan, Red-legged Seriema, and a wide variety of herons, raptors, and colorful passerines.

A major highlight of the tour is our time in Porto Jofre, one of the best places in the world to search for Jaguar in the wild. In addition to this incredible cat, we’ll have chances to observe Giant Otter, Capybara, Yacare Caiman, and a rich diversity of riverine birdlife.

We finish in the northern Pantanal around the Pixaim River, adding additional species and enjoying one final immersion in this extraordinary ecosystem.

Join us for a relaxed yet action-packed tour combining outstanding birding, iconic wildlife, and some of the best photographic opportunities in South America.
